About Lava Rocks: Basalt and related rock types, such as andesite and dacite, are rocks that form when volcanoes spew magma (lava) onto the earth's surface and the magma cools. Lava beads are porous and will even absorb the oil of your choice.

We recommend using only one or two drops of essential oil on the beads. The scent lasts for a day, after which it can be washed off with cold water so that another oil can be dripped onto it the next day. You can use any of your favorite essential oils. The lava stones are strung on an adjustable nylon string.
